Wendy Paola Reyes Calle

Wendy Reyes joined the Energy Systems Analysis group at ETH Zurich as a PhD student in August 2023. Her work focuses on modelling energy network infrastructure for distributed systems incorporating different low carbon technologies. Her scientific interests are energy modelling optimization and power flow analysis.

Prior to joining the group, Wendy completed her Bachelor studies in Electrical Engineering at the Universidad de la Costa, Colombia, in 2018 and worked as a project engineer in low and medium voltage design and execution for various electrical projects. She completed her Master’s studies at the University of Freiburg, Germany, in April 2023. During her Master studies, she worked as a Research Assistant at Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE), in the field of PV module characterization at the Module Technology Evaluation Center. Wendy subsequently wrote her Master thesis in the Smart Grid department at Fraunhofer ISE on the large-scale integration of renewable energy in the Croatian transmission system.
