Sammit Vartak

Sammit Vartak joined the Chair of Energy Systems Analysis at ETH Zurich as a PhD student in April 2022. His work will focus on developing quantitative methods and tools to analyse scale effects within highly renewable energy systems.

Sammit has worked in the field of renewable energy consulting in Germany and has experience in energy and power system modelling. He received his MSc degree in Electrical Power Engineering from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. During his master’s, he worked as an intern at ABB Power Grids, Switzerland performing optimal investment analysis studies for the Indian power sector. Before his master’s, he worked on design and installation of grid-tied and off-grid solar projects in India.
