Blog on blue hydrogen

Check out the latest blog discussion from Prof. Dr. Russell McKenna and colleagues over the heavily discussed topic of blue hydrogen in the energy transition.

Together with two colleagues from the external page University of Aberdeen Professor Russell McKenna has written a blog article discussion the future role of blue hydrogen in the context of the energy transition. The blog appeared on the energy blog of the Energy Science Center and argued that under specific conditions blue hydrogen can be sustainable. These are, firstly, that the upstream methane emissions are very low and, secondly, that the carbon dioxide capture rate is very high. The blog summarises some recent research articles relating to blue hydrogen, which has been and is still being intensively discussed in the literature.
